I just saw Painted Veil and I guess I can't really say how much I liked it without spoiling it, but it is so fantastic, so I'll try.

I always semi-loved Edward Norton and he was awesome in Hulk, and I always loved Naomi Watts because she is made of freaking awesome acting powers and beauty. And this movie was so spectacular.

I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves a good heart-wrenching/romantic story. I loved how you really got into the characters and cared about them, and the angst! Every scene is just so well acted. The entire movie seems like it has so little dialogue, and yet both of them do such a great job at portraying the characters. And the entire thing is so beautiful too! Not only the pretty landscapes, but also. Naomi Watts' face and clothes, and uhm Edward Norton's face and hair, and his clothes too I guess. Just such a beautiful movie UGH. I kept thinking about it after I saw it and had crazy dreams afterwards.

THE PRETTINESS:

------------------

UHM. I also saw:

TWILIGHT: I think it's ok for me to say LMAO considering the majority audience's age group. I was actually pretty impressed with this. 3.9/5 (Maybe if I see it in better quality, where his skin looks diamond-y as opposed to just plain sweaty, and I don't miss other such important details, I'll like it more...)

SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE : 5/5 STARS. Plus some more.

BURN AFTER READING: 3.5/5. I don't know. I thought I would like it more but I think I've seen a lot of crazy movies recently so this one didn't exactly blow my mind.

It's like I challenged myself to waste as much time as possible by watching movies before classes start TOMORROW!

So I saw a whole bunch of movies over the last few days after coming back to NYC and I feel like rating and mini-reviewing them all so that's what I'm gonna do.

I'll put my 'reviews' under cuts so not everyone has to read 'em.  Some of them have pics and no spoilers mostly except I think only for Dark Knight:

1. Iron Man---(4.5/5) )

2. Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2--- (3.5/5) )

3. THE DARK KNIGHT (5/5)  )

4. Laurel Canyon (3/5) )

5. Wanted (4/5) )

6. Sex and the City (4/5) )

7. Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day (4/5) )

8. The Fall ( 4.5/5) )

Oh man such a long entry. Hah.

Maybe I'll have interesting entries to post once classes start, but I doubt that. It'll probably still just be about fandom...

speaking of which:

So, I saw both The Bourne Ultimatum and The Simpson's Movie.

Both were freaking awesome, and if I had the money, I would see both again.

Spoiler-y reviews below!

I swear. I think 10% of all of my entries are titled hello.

So. I saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (wow I mis-spelled phoenix twice).

I am very much hyped about Harry Potter. In my sleep on Saturday I thought that the book was going to be delivered that morning so I jumped up all alert. And then I was quite sad and disappointed.

I think I am going to Sparknotes the 6th book. What a shameful thing to do. But I need to catch up. And everyone knows Sparknotes is the quickest way. Not always the best though.

I think that's all. My review is so insane and long.

OH AND YES. HAPPY BIRTHDAY [info]allthingsgood
Tah-ta everybody.

Alright, so the title is actually quite relevant. Haven't updated in a while, stupid school.

* Edit: This is like the longest entry I have ever written. And I don't know if it's a positive or a negative thing that it's not a rant or anything about my life really, but just reactions to entertainment things. Hmm.

Now I told my mom that I don't like how we're cleaning now before my exam because I need to study instead of lugging things in and out of my room, and now she's pissing me off asking me why I'm not studying now and why I'm just on the computer. I guess she does have a valid point.

YAY.
So stayed home again because my sister came over last night because of a ceremony at school, and we started to watch The Departed, but then I fell asleep because I was just so tired from being in school for nearly 14 hours, 6 of them in heels, and then my sister and I both wanted pancakes in the morning, and always make the pancakes....so yea.

The induction ceremony at my school (which was for this National Honor Society, which isn't really all the program cracked it out to be) was awesome. At least in my opinion. I feel like I am easily amused and entertained. Like my threshold for what is highly entertaining is low. A lot of my classmates thought it was one of the most boring things they've attended in their lives, which in my opinion is a ridiculously idiotic exaggeration, but I enjoyed it. There were speeches, and the inductees went up on stage and got certificates, a flower, and get this... A HANDSHAKE WITH THE PRINCIPLE. Ok so that was sarcasm. I couldn't make eye contact with the principal because everyone at school thinks she got botox, and well I do too because her face is oddly stiff, and I just didn't want to laugh or for anything awkward to happen. It was nice because when I got on stage, my very unbelievably awesome friends cheered for me. I think I was the first one of the six or so people that got cheered, but maybe that's because my last name starts with an I. Point is it was very sweet.

I didn't get to watch Grey's or Ugly Betty today. BUT taped them both, so will definitely get to watch them tomorrow. I love how I connected my VCR to the big tv now, because it's just so much better when it's big (that's what she said...eew dirty. But there's this craze amongst my friends, with 'that's what she said')

Now. Before my very un-analytic comments about The Departed, does anyone have the theme from the movie which has been stuck in my head since the movie ended. If anyone does, or at least if someone knows what it's called, please let me know.

I AM LOSING HAIR LIKE CRAZY.

Seriously I came out of the shower like an hour ago and came online so I haven't brushed my hair and it is seriously just falling out of my head. GAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!

And you know it's serious because there is a LJ entry abt it and I don't usually do random entries.

I am freaking out. Will go and brush it now. *breathe*  *breathe*

Not really a big fan of Michelle Trachtenberg but adorable mention of Hugh Laurie from the tick up her "special place" ep. from when she was on Conan. Around 2 min 45 seconds.

I heart the Little Miss Sunshine soundtrack. Such a friggin beautiful movie.

Oh and I'm reading the Kite Runner and dear God it's so miserably sad.

OK well lets see. So much to catch up on. Alright first of all

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARAH!!!!!!!! I hope you see this entry yo! Thank gosh it was your shoulder my head bumped into. Hahha. I think I now know at least 20 people that have December birthdays. YAY!

Second of all so so so sorry to the f-list that I have pretty much not paid attention to for months. I sometimes lurk and read entries but never comment. I’m just too horrible for words.

MOVIES )

I really like Justin Timberlake. I remember how I hated him back when "Rock Your Body" or whatever came out. Now I'm pretty much in love with him. I also really like that boy in that Cingular commercial with Ludacris and the Pussycat Dolls and I think Ok Go or something. The one with the Asian lady with the grillz (that's what the diamond braces are called right?) Yea. They just showed that commercial.

I feel accomplished. Sad to say it's because I've updated my livejournal.
